The Founding Weekend.

Center Parcs, Woburn Forest
Friday 11 – Sunday 13 September

A lodge in Woburn Forest from Friday to Monday. In the middle of it, serious tennis: small groups, matched strictly by level, a coach-to-player ratio built for real attention. The pools, the forest, the long unhurried gaps between sessions, yours to spend as you please.

This is where it starts. It goes considerably further from here.

The Programme ↓

The inaugural Courted event. The Long Table on Saturday, every guest at one table, seats drawn by lot. The Founding Cup on Sunday, played to a finish.

Come for the tennis, stay for the company.

The Programme

Every ball counts. Literally.

Sessions run in waves, streamed strictly by level, so you always play with and against your own standard. Groups stay small and the coach-to-player ratio is deliberately generous: real attention, not a queue for the ball machine. Nobody warms a bench, and between waves the resort is yours.

Friday

From 4pm
Arrival

Arrive at leisure. Welcome drinks, first introductions, and dinner for those already in.

Saturday

Morning
First Strike

Serves, returns, and the two shots that follow them. Own the start of the point and the rest tends to follow.

Afternoon
The Net Game

Volleys, transitions and doubles positioning, finished with the Engine Room, twenty minutes of high-tempo cardio tennis that will settle several scores.

Evening
The Long Table

One dinner, every guest, seats drawn by lot.

Sunday

Morning
Court Craft

Footwork, movement, and turning defence into attack. The unglamorous things that win the glamorous points.

Afternoon
The Founding Cup

The closing tournament, drawn on the day and played to a finish. A trophy, a prize, and the photographs that will follow us around for years.

One-to-one sessions are charged separately, at member rates, and booked directly with the coaches on the weekend. The programme above is indicative and will be confirmed in final form by our head coach nearer the date.

How We Coach

No queues. No lectures.

Streamed by level

Sessions led by our three coaches, Nitish, Sal and Hannah, streamed strictly by level, intermediate and advanced throughout.

Time on the ball

Games-based warm-ups, maximum time on the ball, and every block ends live: real points played from set scenarios.

One-to-one

Bookable on site between sessions: a full hour, one coach, whatever you most want to fix.

The Details

One price. Almost everything.

Worth knowing

The lodge is booked as a full Friday, Saturday and Sunday block. Most will arrive Friday evening and leave Sunday evening; some will come Saturday morning or stay through Monday. Come and go as your weekend allows.

Other meals, the spa, and one-to-one coaching are charged separately.

Car pooling from London is being arranged; otherwise travel is your own to organise.

Courted membership begins after the weekend. The inaugural event stands alone; the club it launches does not.

The Company You'll Keep

Chosen, never assembled.

Every Courted room is chosen, never assembled. Guests are selected for their tennis and for their company, so a weekend that opens among strangers closes as anything but.

This is the first of a calendar that will run through England, Europe, the Middle East and further still, and the people who play the first will always have first refusal on what follows.

The list is short, and has been considerately drawn up.

Reserve Your Place

Places are held in the order replies arrive, and we expect the weekend to be spoken for well before September. If it appeals, say so early. If it does not, tell us plainly, someone will be glad of your place.
